China In Depth Study Tour

Day 1

City: Los Angeles or San Francisco
Activities: Meet at the airport and take a CA flight to China, which crosses the Pacific and International Date Line.

Day 2

City: Shanghai (D)
Activities: Upon arrival in Shanghai in the afternoon, meet with tour guide and driver and transfer to the city for dinner.
Stay in Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center International Hotel or equivalent.

Day 3

City: Shanghai (B/L/D)
Activities: Sightseeing: Yu Garden, the Bund, Nanking Road, Pudong Development Zone, Nanpu Bridge.
Take an air conditioned bus to Hangzhou late afternoon, the tour guide in Hangzhou will take you to dinner and check into the hotel.
Stay in Zhejiang Hotel or equivalent.

Day 4

City: Hangzhou (B/L/D)
Activities: Lecture on "China Today" in the morning.
Sightseeing in the afternoon: Lingyin Temple, the oldest and largest Buddhist Temple in southeast China, and the one-thousand-year-old Six Harmonies Pagoda.
Stay in Zhejiang Hotel or equivalent.

Day 5

City: Hangzhou (B/L/D)
Activities: Lecture on "Chinese Painting" in the morning.
Sightseeing in the afternoon: cruise on West Lake and Xiling Seal Engravers' Society which will give you an enlightenment on the lecture you have in the morning.
Stay in Zhejiang Hotel or equivalent.

Day 6

City: Hangzhou (B/L/D)
Activities: Lecture on "Chinese Gardening" in the morning.
Sightseeing in the afternoon: Flowery Harbor Viewing Fish and Mr. Guo's Villa which are good illustration of the lecture you have in the morning.
Stay in Zhejiang Hotel or equivalent.

Day 7

City: Hangzhou (B/L/D)
Activities: Lecture on "Chinese Cuisine" in the morning.
Free in the afternoon, dinner together to have a taste of local cuisine (Begger's chicken, West Lake Fish in Sweet and Sour Sauce, etc), which might help you to understand "Chinese Cuisine".
Stay in Zhejiang Hotel or equivalent.

Day 8

City: Hangzhou (B/L/D)
Activities: Lecture on "Education in China" in the morning.
Sightseeing after lunch: General Yue Fei's Temple and Yellow Dragon's Cave.
Stay in Zhejiang Hotel or equivalent.

Day 9

City: Hangzhou (B/L/D)
Activities: Free.
